Coffee & Parade
Start early at 7:30 AM with Coffee & Kringle
at 223 Augusta Street.
Walk to the Racine 4th of July Parade
Anna will provide rides to parade spot for limited mobility family
Pre-parade 8:30 AM / Main Parade 9:00 AM
Join us at 2027 N Main Street to watch the parade.
Reunion Picnic
Followed by Reunion Celebration at the Racine Zoo Pavilion from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
Casual picnic fare and soft drinks will be provided. Admission to the Zoo is included with the event. Enter via August Street - must have wristband!

Plan for the Family Photo at 1:00 PM at the original homestead 223 Augusta Street.
Schedule of Events
7:30 AM Coffee & Kringle - Reunion Kick-off
8:00 AM Golfcart pick up for limited mobility family members
from Augusta & Main to Parade Spot *(Thanks to Anna)
8:30 AM Parade Location 2027 N Main Street (Firetrucks at 8:30/Parade starts at 9:00 AM)
11:00 AM End of Parade/Head over to the Zoo
Pick up wristband at Augusta Street House (July 3 or 4)
Use Augusta St. Entrance to enter the Zoo
Picnic Located: Rotary West Safari Basecamp Pavilion
12:00 PM Lunch is served! Catered lunch by Danny’s
Main Dish: Brats, Hot Dogs, Shredded Chicken
Side Dishes & Dessert: POTLUCK
Drinks: Water, Soda, Kids Drinks & Old Style Beer

1937 The Beginning:
Newlyweds June 5, 1937. LaCrosse, WI. The Wedding of: Norbert Herman Huennekens, Milwaukee, Wisconsin And Louise Hildegard Schnurrer, LaCrosse, Wisconsin
First home:
Kinnickinnic Avenue: Rented upper “flat” in Bay View, Milwaukee
Career:
Post College: Old Style Lager Inc. LaCrosse,WI, semipro football.
Pio Nono H.S, teacher and football coach,
Sales associate midwestern states. Arthur L. Huennekens; Sugar Broker wholesaler.

1939: May 20 Daughter, Sally Ann
1941: July 20 Daughter, Mary Lou
1944: May 8 Daughter, Jean Therese
1947: October 12 Son, Richard Arthur
1948: October 15 Daughter, Suzanne
1950: November 8 Daughter, Barbara Ann
1953: November 7 Son, John Russell
1940 Homeowners:
First home proudly designed with an architect friend (VanHandle), and built at: 2904 E Crawford Avenue, Town of Lake, WI
Career change: circa 1949-50
Purchased “Old Style Distributing Company”, Racine, WI, From the Pat Rooney Co. Partner with his brother, Arthur J. Huennekens
1953: December:
Moved to 223 Augusta Street, Racine, Wi With a huge family of 7 children from ages 14 years to 6 weeks, We celebrated our first Christmas in our “new” home.
1957: March:
Three years, and three months later…..Life Changes! Our dad passed away from a heart attack while at his office.
1957 to 1990:
Years went by: First Communions, Graduations, Weddings, Each child left home as a bride, a groom, a student…. And 223 filled up on holidays with growing families and grandchildren.
New Home: 1990
At age 75, Mom said goodbye to 223 Augusta St. and hello to 73 E. Parkfield Ct. Wind Point, WI To begin filling another home with family love.
2002
We lost our Mom, our quiet strength.
